Leigha Marie Daliet is asouthern belle, calling both Texas and Louisiana home. Moving 12 times before age 16 has made Leigha an incredible observer and orator of the complexities of human nature, trauma, and movement. Her writing explores our need for validation, an ode to our obsessions, and a record of the plethora of characters she’s encountered.
Leigha has received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Writing for Screen and Television from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts.
Amongst her notable achievements, in 2021, Leigha participated in CannesFilms Unlimited, an international writing residency. In 2022, her feature script, Rules of Being a Princess, placed as a Quarterfinalist in the Screencraft Family Screenplay competition and was a Semifinalist in the Austin Film Festival Drama Feature Screenplay Division.
In 2023, Leigha was chosen to be a member of the Creative Futures Collective, a community of emerging creative individuals from marginalized backgrounds looking to make a difference through art.
